Change Management

Change is a good thing, totally normal, necessary and constant! Even if chasing growth is not your thing, the world changes and you need to keep up - but the hardest thing about change is bringing those around you along with you. Address the cultural, soft and people-based barriers to change and then spend as much time and effort in preparation as on the execution.

Make no assumptions about expectations. Build things rather than write specifications - a good model (or even an average model) shows people what they are going to get and leaves less to individual interpretation. Never let perfection be the enemy of the better and release things early and often

Project management, when done well, is about trusting the process and following the lists. Knowing who is accountable and responsible for every task and how each element relates to and impacts others is more than half of the job. And, having said that, I should say that, while Project Management may be that simple, it isn't that easy!
